Course Duration: 26 Minutes | Difficulty Level: 2
In the first part of this course you learnt the basic theory behind the major and minor scales. If you’ve successfully worked through that course, you’ll also have learnt to play those scales in several keys, using a basic fretboard pattern. In this course we’ll be continuing that work. We’ll first learn to play the major and minor scales in the remaining keys. This will mean that by the end of this course you’ll be comfortable playing them in all twelve keys using the basic pattern.
The second part of this course will encourage you to explore more of the fingerboard in your scale practice. As you’ll be aware, every note appears in multiple locations on the fingerboard, and this means that there are many different ways to play scales. This course will demonstrate how best to approach taking this important step.
Before working on this course it is recommended that you complete Learning the Major and Minor Scales (Part 1).
